I just started laughing when I read this. Seems like they have quite the battle raging between the pro goat and anti goat forces.

The fate of the goat is also faithfully reported in Finland every year. Personally I consider it one of the finer christmas traditions.

Put me in the pro-torch catagory too. What do they do with it if it isn't burned to the ground? Tear it down? Seems more fitting to torch it. And gets way more news.

I like this note in the "Goat Highlights" section: "1971: Tired of arson, the project is abandoned. Schoolchildren build a miniature. It is smashed to pieces."

In 2005, it was torched by two arsonists dressed as Father Christmas and the Gingerbread Man.

For whatever reason I found this to be incredibly funny.
