My son (just turned 2) was fine with Santa, just a little shy at the start. But this reminds me that I should dig up our Easter card, the look of terror on my son from the Easter Bunny makes me laugh every time I look at it - I know it sounds cruel but it really isn't.
Last year my eldest son, 2 years old and still an only child at the time, was deathly afraid of Santa. He saw Santa sitting on his chair and he refused to go see him, so we dropped the matter. This year he was ok with seeing Santa. There was no lineup at the time we went so we walked right up, he sat on Santa's lap, and then on Santa's other lap we put our 10 month old, who looked at Santa and immediately started crying. At which point our oldest didn't like the crying and dropped his head and pouted. They snapped a picture at the right time, our infant had a look on his face of concentration, you wouldn't know he was crying unless we told you and our eldest was looking at the youngest and the pout wasn't on his face. Not a great picture but we weren't going to force it. It was kinda funny though, it was the first time I had seen my youngest son react with such panic... the other time.
These are the actual Christmas pics of my kids with Santa this year. As you can easily tell, my daughter was none too enthused with sitting on Santa's lap. Santa doesn't look too thrilled either..hehe
I went with my nephews, they were thrilled to be there. They were going crazy in the lineup. When we got the front, my youngest nephew got shy and clung to me. But my other nephew loved it. Walked over and shook his hand.
