The Calgary Herald reports that the Stampeders have called a news conference for Friday afternoon amid speculation that Tom Higgins will be named their new vice-president of football operations.

Reports today (from SNet and G&M) are Barker as Director of Player Personnel, Higgins Director/VP? of Football Operations and Head Coach, Creehan as Associate Head Coach, Schwartz as Executive VP, Darrell Moir as VP, and one of the owners will be Prez (take care of business, not Football)

I'd be really happy to see Schwartz brought back. Of all the bush-league moves made during the Feterik reign, the Schwartz firing was the worst. Putting Creehan on track to becoming head coach either now or in a couple years is key. The players love him and he's obviously very good as far as coaching on the defensive side. He can do tremendous things for this organization.
