Default Great Ipod add-on just in time for the holidays

The IBREATH. Not too sure how this will go over but it could save alot of people alot of money if used around this time of the year. Some might be offended by this little add-on and my personal feeling is if you drink don't drive. On the other hand, I'm just not too sure how accurate it is, if the device says your are under the limit and you get behind the wheel and get pulled over, the Cop's breathalizer could say another thing. It's just not worth it.

Save money?

On the other hand... I thought a person can be charged for driving under the influence even if they were below 0.08.

So is the FM transmitter the only reason you plug this thing into an iPod?

Yeah that's what I see too.... if you want something like this, get a cheap handheld device they sell at the liquor store... it seems the only reason to tie it to the iphone is to sap the battery.

EDIT: Confirmed:

Included Accessories:

iBreath
12V Car Plug (for those times when you may not have an iPod or iPhone with you)
USB Cable
Instruction Manual

So... it doesn't use the Iphone except for its battery. Talk about a cash-in device.

Just like practically anything, people will abuse this... but I think this is a decent idea.

Sometimes people don't realize how much they've had to drink. They may "feel" alright, but they could be a checkstop away from a world of hurt, or a turn away from a deadly collision.

Now what they should have is a mandatory breathalizer (with fingerprint scanners) on all vehicles. If you blow over, the car won't start.
