Looks like there's a lot of stuff they've been holding back from the beta also.

I don't get it. Is it a game, or like a game that host your games? seems weird to me

It's just kind of a social thing you can do with other users online, plus it also has some games of its own.
One thing I would love to see in addition to the Red Bull Air Race is Red Bull Crashed Ice! That would be a blast!

It is weird. Kind of an experimental thing on Sony's part. They see it as a way to build the social network of playstation owners. You can hook up with friends and play little minigames or just meet people that share a similar interest as you and you can launch into a game with them from home.
I'm not really sure what to think of it just yet. I am somewhat interested in attaining trophies now as you can display them in your house (I hope).

I'm curious as to exactly what we will be capable of doing. I remember when it was first mentioned there was the possibility of streaming videos and importing pictures and things into the rooms. I wonder how much of that stuff is still being put in.
I have a feeling this will start off not being used much by the community. At first glance it looks like too much of a departure from what the system is sold for, games. Over time they will add in cooler, more useful features that will give people a reason to actually use it. I know that they started this process by envisioning game-specific rooms that could be used to do various things. For example, they designed a war room for Warhawk so people could plan out their strategies on a sand table. Again, whether that kind of thing is still in or not is unknown to me.

You mean is it anything like Day of Defeat? No, it's nothing like that.
I'm not sure if you'll like it. Were you ever at all interested in second life? I tried Home out and didn't really get into it because I didn't know anybody in there.
For me I might actually see if it works as a way to find people to play with online. Beyond the fatas I don't really have too many people on my buddy list to play games with beyond NHL 09. It might be cool to find people to play other games with.

lol @ day of defeat.... (for the record, that game was awesome!)
yeah, never played second life... i dont think the social aspect will be much for me... the only other game i play aside from nhl is rock band. and i really dont want to play it online. and the fatas provide me with plenty of nhl friends.

I'm sure you will get a kick of my avatar constantly being bodychecked, just like in NHL. Plus, it would be cool to play all you guys in the pool, red bull air race, and other minigames! We could have fatas tournaments!

Pretty much. You make an avatar of yourself and you are given a home to populate with furniture and stuff. You can travel to the town square and meet other users. you can launch into multiplayer games from there or play little mini games within home itself (like pool).
Youtube seems to be fubar at the moment otherwise i'd get you the trailer.

You could probably plaster your space with that picture of you playing the drums that you love to show off so much.
Russ, if I'm on the PSN just send me a message and I'll help you with your trophies. I suck at NHL anyway.
