Default Outdoor pickup shinny-

I was wondering who and where people @ CP who live in Calgary play shinny?

I live in Whitehorn and play at the Community centre there.

Me and a few guys last year bought the guy who floods the rink a case of beer and he left the lights on until 2am for us to keep playing on Saturday night.

Also, I have heard Springbank has quite a nice public outdoor rink. I have also heard that it is covered with a tent type roof... any truth to that?

Anyway, it would be cool if some of you guys were interested in doing some shinny on a friday or saturday night and were able to arrange to have the lights on a bit later so that we get some good icetime without too many youngins..

Your thoughts?

Maybe Rhettzky can organize the 'hockey day in canada' shinny again, hopefully not as freakin' cold as last year though.

It was at Ramsay and no need to worry about the youngins b/c you can book it outright.

I am still amazed that even with the weather, we managed to have 8 ppl show up
that was a fun day, minus the "blocked shot" i took to the knee

It was fun except for when Metal Geek called my Black Label 'no name beer' - that probably hurt more than your blocked shot.

What about the 28th? Play some hockey then take nickerjones to Pete's pub. As promised by Locke, Locke is buying the beer!

There is a rink not far from Pete's Pub (north, up the hill, near the school).

I'd be up for that, I play in Silver Springs most of the time but it gets super packed there. I like going to Tuscany, nice ice because they have a zamboni.
