Default Multi Pane Browser (plugin)?

I am sitting here and wondering why I need to resize my windows whenever I need to view 2 web pages simultaneously and it got me thinking I would really like it if there was a way I could take 2 (or more) tabs in a browser and set them up so they were on a split view in the same window.

Some searching on Google had led me to the Cruz browser for Mac that appears to do what I want. Anyone know of a plugin for firefox that emulates that functionality? or another browser that will run on Windows?

I thought Opera used to be able to do this.
