Flipping through my channel guide tonight, I noticed that channel 223 is something labeled "B10HD". It turns out that this is a channel which seems to be dedicated completely to showing sports from the Big Ten NCAA conference (it may show other conferences, but a quick look at their website makes me think they don't).
It's good to see them adding new channels, but it seems like an odd choice. You'd think that if they wanted another sports channel, they would have gone with Raptors TV or The Score HD (both of which Bell offers).
Also of note, it appears that Sportsnet is finally doing regional HD broadcasts, so Flames games in HD will no longer be on an alternate channel. Of course, just as they finally get this straightened out, it appears that Friday's game will not be in HD.
