Default Auto-scroll to the right?!?

I've noticed recently that whenever I view a page onto CP that it automatically scrolls to the far right (which is annoying if don't have my browser window maximized because the left side the screen/text gets chopped off and I have to scroll it back to the left).

I'm guessing it might have something to do with the ads on the right hand side of the page? Or maybe my browser is just messed up...

Internet Explorer. I think it only does it when I have my browser window "not maximized", but it has happened both on my home and work PC...

Hm, what version of IE? I tried it on IE 7 with my browser window set very narrow (so I had a scroll bar) and didn't see the same behaviour.

Argh. This is annoying. I have a similar problem. Mine keeps scrolling down about a third of the way till some damn Google ad on the right side is is at the top of my screen. Happens every time I click on something and there is a google ad on the right side. Also using lastest IE for XP.

The Google ad seems to be for some tools at huddyshop.com.

Yeah I tried a bunch of pages in IE as well and got it once or twice.

I wonder if it's the ad itself, or maybe some of the support code we have. I suspect the ad itself because that's the only one that does it for me as well.

I guess we'll have to see how it goes and if it goes away when the ad leaves rotation.

Alternately you could PM Bingo and get him to send the ad company a message about it, report the problem ad.

I don't speak nerd but when I open a page it looks ok for a half sec. and then jumps down towards the bottom. Is this related? It only started happening in the last day or so.

Yeah I see that too, the page partially displays and sits at the top, then when the ad completes filling in it jumps down.

Also, when I click on "go to first new post" it sometimes takes me backwards a few posts or even a full page. This just started happening as well.

^^I am having the same problem, both with the scrolling down and taking me to old posts.

Yeah, it seems to be all right for me too. If someone did something to fix the issue, thank you.

Spiders are computers that companies like Google use to get their information. A spider visits and downloads a site so they can index it.
