His fathers influence is so apparent on this kid. Yep...he is going to be a star, no question. What I like about him? He could of declared himself eligibla for the last draft but wanted to come back and try and lead Davidson to the final 4. One of the purest shooters I have ever seen. Granted I am no bball efficianado, but the college game is so much better to watch than pro simply because these kids leave their hearts out on the court.
As an aside, anyone remember the 7'7" behemoth that played here in Asheville last year? Kenny George was his name. A very sad ending to his bball career for the big guy.

Here is a bizarro story featuring Curry and his team last night.
Quote:
So Curry decided to test the triangle-and-2 defense taken to the ultimate extreme. He went into the corner and two defenders followed him, setting up a 4-on-3 for his teammates.
Curry decided to keep standing there, and his teammates kept scoring—for 40 minutes—in a 78-48 head-scratching win for the 24th-ranked Wildcats that will be remembered for some time

Seriously, his team was losing by thirty throughout most of the second half, and you've got two defenders guarding a guy who obviously not trying to score? That coach should be fired.

Wichita State's extremely young team is testing it's second ranked team of the week today. Lost a close one to Georgetown 58-50 earlier in the Old Spice Classic and today lead #6 Michigan State 26-22 at the half.
Gregg Marshall's WSU team is made up of 1 senior a few JUCO tranfer juniors and a bunch of freshmen and sophomores. They were picked to finish 9th in the Missouri Valley this year. After his amazing run at Winthrop, I'm starting to see the Marshall plan come into effect here in Wichita. Amazing poise for such a young team.
Go Shockers!
Michigan State 65 WSU 57
Michigan State played much better in the second half, but WSU hung around and made it interesting.
Could be a better season for the Shockers than I thought though. Encouraging signs for sure!

Something pretty special? Perhaps, but knowing that two guys were going to stick to you even when you didn't have the ball, makes it a pretty easy decision. You're not going to see the ball anyway, might as well stand in the corner and let your teammates play 4 on 3. If the opposing coach is giving your team an opportunity to play 4 on 3 (even with your best player not in the mix), you gotta take that opportunity.

Curry scores 44 again.
I'm guessing he won't score 0 again all year.

Scoring Winger

Curry is one of the best pure shooters I have seen and I am a huge college basketball fan. He is in the category of Ray Allan and Reggie Miller with his shot. One thing he is lacking is size, but he will still have a long and likely very succesful NBA career.
