Why does it smell like poo?
Anybody notice today that large parts of the SW of Calgary have a distinctly ... poo-like smell outside?
What's going on? It's been corroborated by others so don't get wise on me!

It was like that when I was at the c-train station in downtown at 7pm tonight. I was wondering if I let a silent one out and didn't notice....
Thankfully, this confirms that I didn't.

it was quite a putrid stench up in NE near sunridge, i drove all the way to douglasdale and i could still smell it there, not as bad though.
whatever it is, it reeks

We get that smell almost every night here in High River. Darn smell from the feedlots moving east. Not a nice smell.

Yeah, WTF? Stinks in Copperfield too. Who is it that works at the sewage treatment plant that posts here? Maybe he knows what the sh*t is going on.

Good lord it stinks outside.
It has a lingering odor of stinky feet coupled with Edmonton.

I live in Sunnyside and felt that it smelled like bad cheese when I went outside. When it followed me to the store I was scared that it was me that smelled rotten. Perhaps I rolled in a pile of old cheddar?
This thread makes me feel better.

Pollution.
The last couple days looking out my office window to the south it's been disgustingly hazy. Not even like you see the haze in the distance... I'm on 8th ave and from the 34th floor it looks hazy around 25th avenue. Brutal. Air pollution gets so bad in this city in the fall/winter/spring.

I thought it smelled odd coming out of the dome. At the time I had just attributed it to the smell of victory rotting as it's been hanging around so much lately.
