Default Climbers explore the murky abyss of 3,100ft deep underground shaft

Quote:
Hold on to your specs while peering down here. You'd have a long climb to the bottom if they fell off.

This rocky chasm in China is one of the world's deepest underground shafts. It stretches down for an astonishing 3,100ft, or 1,026 metres.

An international team of cave explorers who discovered the cave, near the village of Tian Xing, are seen descending into the abyss.

Camping underground for four to five days at a time, the team were able to explore the extensive network of caves and tunnels.

Make sure you bring your slick shoes, you never know when the Fratellis are right on your heels.

Man, if you pee'd down it, your urine would hit terminal velocity and drill a hold 3 feet deep.

I saw something similar to this on the BBC series Planet Earth. These extensive cave networks that people camp in on exploration trips or for some of them it was a "vacation".

They are basically void of life down there because there is nothing for a predator to eat, even insects do not survive long. My kind of camping trip.. if only there was good fishing.
