Default Beer prices around the league

An interesting look at beer prices around the NHL.

If you didn't think Pittsburgh fans had it good before, their supercheap beer might just change your mind.

Link.

I don't get it....Toronto has either cut their prices more than in half since last year, or that report is wrong. I paid $12 for a draft at the ACC.

I can tell you right now the Flames either lied or that conversion is incorrect. According to the link the cheapest beer is $4.97US which converts to about $5.70.

Unless I'm missing something there is no beer that cheap at the dome. It is now $7.25 for draft and $6.50 (I think) for the supercans. Maybe more I only drink heroin beer.

Hmm...

Well, the figures seem to convert to $5.50 for a bottle of beer in the Dome.

Not having been there in ages, can you buy bottles in the Lounge or box seats?

...at the NHL opener in Prague the beers cost about three bucks CAD (45 Czech Kroner)...although that was for a 12 Oz. cup (ie. one can). Still an awesome price. I assume that's the same price as they charge at the Slavia home games there.

Wow prices went up. Last time I was there (10 yrs ago) beer was 25 cents US and bottled water was at least $1 It's good thing we ate alot and did lots of walking. Decent beer at Panthers game at least $7. You can get small cup of Miller for 6.00. Same size Heineken is $7

Considering I usually spend $15-$20 for a four pack of a beer, those prices aren't outrageous.

How big are the $7.25 ones? 16oz or 20oz?

The report is wrong, even the author is on record as saying that he is just going by what they told him and they could be lying. One team has already been caught in a lie. I go to Leaf games all the time and their prices are ridiculously high. I too have paid over $12 for a draft beer.

And that is probably the pre-tax amount. Which is bang on- a regular can of beer costs $6 at the Dome, so about $5.70 plus tax.

Yes, the lounges you can buy cans and bottles, but you have to pour it into a cup before you leave. I think MGD is available in bottles- there may be one more.

This thread makes me thirsty...

Bet you can't guess what beer I wish they'd serve at the dome?

Montreal is way off too. Last time I went to a game it was $9 for a can of Molson Ex that they poured into a glass...
