Yep, something about a bomb scare. Right outside my building too. Awesome. Of course they don't tell us... we only work here. I had to find out by looking outside and going down to the lobby.

I work in the Chevron building and we're all still here. Hasn't been a general announcement to employees or anything yet. Don't have any more details, but if I hear a big bang, you CP'ers will be the first to know.

I'm in the old Murphy Oil building.. Just watched the bomb squad guy place something on the ground, go behind a pillar, dance a little bit, and then pick up said object and now he's gone.

BREAKING NEWS: Suspicious package found

Calgary police are responding to reports of a suspicious package at the Altius Centre in the downtown.
The building is at 500 4th Ave. S.W. and police have cordoned off 3 blocks from 3rd St. to 6th St. along 5th Ave. S.W.
Some people are being evacuated from parts of the building.
The Tactical team, Hazardous Materials Team and the Calgary police bomb robot are on scene to evaluate the package and contain the area.

The robot had to come down past Caesars with the "package" dropped it when it came onto the road, then drove up to the grey orb and put it inside. The SUV has now departed with said package containing orb.

Exactly! Don't these people realize this will effect rush hour and slow everything down, which will in effect, hurt the crowd going downtown to the Flames game tonight???? Jeez... some people are so selfish
