Hockey Drafts/Pools/Fantasy
Being a Flames forum, obviously a lot of us participate in hockey pools, drafts, and fantasy pools. Typically for the tracking of draft/pool information I usually use officepools.com, or some other crappier free service. I'm aware of Yahoo's Fantasy Hockey site but hadn't been involved in a fantasy pool until this year.
I personally find officepools.com (and other sites of their ilk) to be adequate, but not great. This got me to thinking about the feasibility of creating something better. This purpose of this post however isn't necessarily to debate the feasibility of it, but instead to poll fellow poolies to see what kinds of things you like or dislike about currently available options (eg. officepools, pickuphockey, yahoo).
1. What kinds of pools do you participate in (drafts, pools, fantasy, other)?
2. What sites do you use (officepools, pickuphockey, yahoo, other) and why?
3. What is your biggest dislike about the site you use (UI, ease of use, reporting, accurate/timely stats updates, other)?
4. What is your favorite feature / quality about the site you use?
5. What kinds of features do you wish were included w/ your site that aren't currently? (eg. managed online draft, autopicking draft, pre-made/customizable pools, expanded individual player reporting, detailed player information for drafting, forums, etc.)
Any other comments are also appreciated.
