CP Ball Hockey Team This Fall!
Hey everyone,
Starting this early once again. Last season (ie/ spring) I started the slo-pitch team ball rolling, and it's been a huge success so far. Looking to continue into the fall, but now with ball-hockey. My buddy and I saw some indoor ball hockey at the uni the other day and I figured I'd like to try that out!
So here are some points I want to get answers to:
- What is a good league?
- Are there coed leagues?
- Are there beginner leagues?
- What type of equipment do we need, as players or as a team?
- Who else wants to play?
Personally, I used to play street hockey as a kid, but I am basically starting from scratch. I'll start the list with me as a beginner (b). If you list yourself, try to use the following categories:
(b) beginner (little or no experience)
(i) decent/intermediate (played before but not confident)
(g) good (confident in your skillz)
(e) EXCELLENT (and would be playing pro ball hockey if possible)
Also please star your letter if you are a girl/lady.
Players List:
1) REDVAN (b)
2) JiriHrdina (g)
3) Rifleman (i)
4) ricosuave (boy- not man, ?)
5) keplunk (b)
6) da_cheif (b)
7) Slava (b)

Calgary Sport and Social Club has a number of leagues of various levels are most are very good. Quite affordable too.

Most other leagues in the city are a lot rougher.
I'll put myself out there as a member of the team, though right now I am still recovering from a knee injury. But hope to be ready by the fall. I'd term myself "good". have played a lot of ball hockey.

I am between decent and good. Keep me posted on this. I would like to join that Calgary Sports & Social Club, but they play on Sundays, which is when I'm busy.

I wouldn't mind giving it a go, depending on the times and cost. My hockey experience is basically next to nothing; just playing floor hockey with some friends, usually in net.

I'm going to say that I'm a beginnner, although maybe intermediate is more accurate.
I'm definitely in if you get something going though; add me to the list please!

What night would this go down on? As in, would this start September-November? If so, I might be interested depending on how busy I'll be with school.
I'd rank myself...decent haha. Especially if I've got a trigger man that I can hit up with some sweet sauces haha. I'd go somewhere between intermidiate and good I suppose.
Equipment-wise...wouldn't you just need shoes, shorts, a shirt and a stick? Oh and the all important cup. If it ended up we're in some nancy league where you've gotta wear those damn safety glasses, I'm out. Not at all a fan of those things.

Hey Redvan, I'd definitely be in! Also, I'm going to say I'm a beginner since I've never played in a league before. Anyways, this sounds great

Would this be in a gym or a rink? If it's a rink, you'd have yourself a solid grinder right here. But all depends on day, time and cost really.
edit: put me down as an (i)
