Upcoming PS3 games
Just a few games on the horizon I'm looking forward to. Post any you have.
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
Release Date: October 21st
Looks to feature lots Symbiotes and wolverine. Hope it's better than Friend or foe.
Resident Evil 5
Release Date: March 13th
Trailer for this game looks unreal. Absolutely can't wait.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game
Release Date: Quarter 1, 2009
Game play looks pretty interesting.
Apparently there is also a new Doom game, a wolfensein game, a Sin City game, Punisher War Zone (based on the movie, in which case it will more than likely blow), and a new ratchet and clank (surprise!).
Here's IGN's PS3 release date page...

Normally games like that just aren't my thing but there's something about it that makes me look at it and think it's pretty cool. I don't know if it's something I would get on release date but I could see myself getting it down the road.

There was a Ghostbusters preview I saw somewhere months ago, and the game looked completely GONGSHOW! I'm looking forward to it, but might rent it first so that my love for almost anything 80s doesn't waste the $60ish it's going to cost.

I'm looking forward to WipEout HD. I have Pulse for PSP and like it, and I think HD should be worth the $20 download.

hey to take this off tangent a little - what is a good racing game for ps3? any good ones on the horizon? we had burnout: takedown on ps2 and enjoyed it for the most part. just want a fun one the lady can play and/or we can play together. don't need anything serious like nascar 09.

burnout: paradise is good and it's fun. The crashes and jumps you get to do in this game are crazy.
need for speed series are always good, probably a little more serious though.
and the ultimate is of course gran turismo.

I've been looking out for Fallout 3, coming to all of the consoles. I have been waiting for it for a while, since I was a massive Fallout fan.

Buzz comes out next week. It's a quiz game show, really fun for parties when you get tired of rockband.

Actually you can ... sort of. You can create things (clothes for your guy, cars, giant skateboards etc.) and then allow them to be awarded to those who complete your level in a certain amount of time or with a certain amount of points.
For instance, if I make a tshirt for my character that says "Dobbles is Close Minded" across the chest, I can make that shirt available to anybody who beats my level in under 5 minutes.

LittleBigPlanet looks really cool but I haven't been following it much. Are there actual levels with objectives or do you just mess around and make things? I'm more of a "go here and do this" type of gamer and I'm not too creative when it comes to the open sandbox type games.
