Not a mechanic, but can't screw anything up, certanly not in a couple days.
You may want to look more presentable when driving, as many more peole will look at you, either in disgust, pity, or coolness (depending on the sound and person).

Crappy Tire sells Muffler Bandages, heat proof that might be a good temporary fix. Won't last too long but will dull the roar for a short while. Depending on how clean the surface you apply it to it could last a longer.

not going to hurt anything, but may raise the ire of the public and or police as you drive by.

what kind of car?

ike at minute muffler on 32nd has always treated me pretty good, and offers lifetime warranty mufflers.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Over a couple of days you might not hurt anything. But remember that your not getting any back pressure and your screwing up your compression which can really screw up your engine. Eventually your engine timing will go and your car will start to stall out.

That and the fact that your waking up your neighbours because your car sounds like a cheap Harley.

Muffler replacement is pretty inexpensive.

When you do go to get your exhaust system fixed, stay away from Brake Check on 16th & Center st. The con artist there quoted me a price for an entire exhaust system from chrome tailpipe all the way to CC replacement with a resonator. When I picked up my truck, all they did was the muffler & chrome tip. The whole exhaust pipe was rusted & holey & the CC was still there. I complained to the guy that gave me the quote, & he denied what he had originally told me.
I still needed the exhaust pipe replaced, so they took off my CC, replaced the pipe & welded it to my old cc. I didn't notice that they had done this until 6 months later when I rented a bay at U-wrench to replace the clutch.
Because I couldn't disconnect the pipe at the cc, I had to un bolt the exhaust system at the manifold to get the transmission out. What a royal pain in the ass. The icing on the cake was a big blob of grease on my arm rest. What the hell do muffler mechanics use grease for anyway?
I will never go back to that place & will forever give them negative publicity.
