Default Ft. Mac to Calgary Request for Help!

I'm going wayyy out on a limb here, but I'll try anyway...

Does anyone here know anybody that will be coming down to Calgary from Ft. Mac this weekend? As ridiculous as this sounds (even to me), my ex, who lives in Ft. Mac, is moving to Winnipeg next month and the sale of her house has forced her to abandon her plans to come down to Calgary this weekend.
That means that I won't see my dog again for the forseeable future.

So... Uh... Anybody know anybody that can give my pooch a lift? Lol. I can't believe I'm posting this, but if it works I'll donate $100 to CP or better yet, to the Humane Society in the lift giver's name or else I'll just give the person $100 and they can donate it to their beer fund or whatever.

As for the return trip, I don't care when they would be going back as long as it's later than 10am on Sunday. Of course, I would make it as easy as possible on the driver and meet him or her wherever necessary. Ideally, the driver would be arriving Friday afternoon and leaving Sunday morning. I'll be camping in Okotoks for a ball tournament so my schedule isn't very flexible, but I would get a friend to do the last part of the delivery.

FTR, she's a larger dog. A rottie. She's a runt, so she's only about 80 lbs and probably the nicest, most chill dog ever born. Also notable is that she's 10 years old, so no need to worry about her bouncing off the walls or peeing in the vehicle. Obviously she needs a bit of space so the back of an SUV would be ideal. She's also dog friendly. A lover, not a fighter.

If you're wondering why I don't go up there it's because I'm going camping this weekend and that is the reason I really, really want to have my dog for the weekend.

I'm sure this will set a record for strangest request on CP, but it's worth a try.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions that do not include crating her and sticking her on a bus, let me know.

That's a huge ass dog!

Sorry 4x4. I am in fact flying down Thursday and back Tuesday, but its on the Suncor plane which probably isn't too keen on dogs.

Greyhound might be a good option though.

Sorry, I'm not making the trip, but I've gotta say that's a damn nice dog. Our shop dog was a female rottie, and now I've wanted one ever since.

Why does your ex get to keep your dog?

Have you talked to the Humane Society or other rescue groups? There may even be a Rottie specific group out there.

I'm just thinking that they might have a way to get your dog back to you; as doing that would be better than seeing another dog potentially ending up in their care.

Thanks for the doggie compliments... She's a princess.

It was almost a reality last night as I had a reply almost immediately. It didn't work out though so I've still got my fingers crossed.

As for why the ex has my dog, I moved away for over a year and she took the dog. When I got back I just couldn't go and demand my dog back. She's such a good dog that taking her back after giving her away would be pretty mean. I made my bed and have to lie in it.

BTW, that top pic is the ex's little nephew. The second pic is pretty old, that was at least 5 years ago. Mox has a few greys on the snout now. The third pic is just a fave of mine. If you look closely you can see one of her eyes peeking at you. Sucha gooda girrl.

I'm not usually a fan of big dogs but that's the sweetest dog that I've ever seen
