Can't beat that, but I have two kids born:

03/03/03
05/05/05

For some reason the wife didn't want to go for 06/06/06

I would say the odds are actually pretty good. I mean a baby is born all the time in the world, I bet several popped out around the world at that time. And the weight is within normal range.

Still doesn't mean it isn't a cool story though.

Nurse Jenny Harstad joked that she tried to shrink the baby to 18 inches from her actual 19.5 inches.

Several hospital staff members pledged to buy lottery tickets.

My gf's sister just had a baby yesterday at 8AM (08/08/08).

Bit of a cheat though, since it was a planned c-section. No idea what it weighed.

My wife's brother and his wife had a little girl yesterday as well. Must be a good day.

There's 12 possible dates every hundred years where the day, month and year are all the same number, so I think having two kids with such birthdays is pretty incredible. Did you plan for this? Or was the first baby an unplanned 03/03/03 so why not try and have the second 05/05/05? I have yet to have any children of my own, but I would think it would still be difficult to have a child on an exact planned date.

Not as happy an occasion, but sort of the opposite.

My grandfather died in 1988 and on his death certificate it listed his age down to the month and date. He was 88 years, 8 months, and 8 days old when he died.

Would have been better if the baby had been born at 9:28 (8:88).
