Default Playstation 3 remote?

I just got a playstation this weekend and was wondering if anyone had bought a remote to control the blu ray player. There are some cheap ones on ebay, but is that the way to go or will a good universal remote do the job? I know the game controller works, but I just thought the remote would be handier.

I have the remote, and it's kinda cool, but some of the buttons (most notably the navigation buttons) feel mushy. You could go with a universal remote (say, a Harmony 880 or something), but none that I'm aware of support Bluetooth, so you'd need an IR converter to control the system with a normal remote. The last I heard, the IR dongles don't support turning the system on and off, only controlling it once it's running, but that may have changed.

I'd say the best way to go for a PS3 is with the Sony Remote. It's $20-$25 new in the store, and it works fine.

Only downside is it doesn't light up, and it turns the system on if you push any button.

Which can be a pain in the ass when you accidentally hit a button.

Other than those two things, its great!

The "touch any button and it turns on" feature is annoying because I keep it in my desk and stuff sometimes touches it. But I don't care because the PS3 runs so quietly that I won't notice my PS3 is on, until like 4+ hours later, when it will actually make a dribble of noise. So much of a difference in noise between my xbox 360, that thing sounds like a plain taking off...

I really like the layout of the Sony remote, and for $20 it is a decent price. Madcatz has a $10 I think but I don't buy their crap.
