Wow, the interesting situation has come to an end. Good for Favre to get to be a starter and good for the Packers for sticking to their word and making Rodgers the starter. Packers took a big hit by losing Brett. He has a couple years left in the NFL.

Well, not sure if this is a good move for him. TB or any other warmer weather or dome team would've likely prolonged his career as opposed to playing in similar conditions as GB.
But good PR for the Jets who likely have been relegated to the last page of the sports section in NYC with the Giants success, and he can still play.
Is it done one wonders...or are the Jets ready to flip him somewhere else?

I hope his playing streak ends after week 1, when they play my dolphins.
I have to now officially hate him as a Dolphins fans, the Jets is the team we hate the most. Anything to do with the Jets can rot in hell.

Favre will be better off in NY than in Tampa. Coles/Cotchery is much better than Galloway/nobody.

The Jets signed former Green Bay tight end Bubba Franks speculation is that was a big deal breaker between Tampa and NY

The NFL Network also is reporting that the Packers took great pains to ensure that Favre would not be traded to the Vikings by inserting a "poison pill" in the deal. If Favre were to be traded to Minnesota, New York would have to surrender three first-round picks to Green Bay.

Yikes!

I was wondering about the Jets flipping him. Wonder if the same deal is in there if he gets traded to Chicago?

I have to wonder why Brett would want this? He was sacked 15 times last season. The Jets allowed 53 sacks last season. An older imobile QB will probably not fair well with limited protection. Even with the addition of Faneca, Favre is going to take a beating.

The Jets o-line last year was among the worst in the league but they have made upgrades in adding Faneca and Woody, not to mention Ferguson and Mangold have another year under there belt .
I think they will be alright

Brett Throws 6 yard slants 75% of the time now! He doesn't allow enough time to get sacked!

Or traded from the Jets to team X, then team X trades him to Minnesota?

Several media outlets are reporting that Parcells has already contacted Pennington's agent. It would not surprise me to see him end up in Miami, which I have mixed feelings.

That would be a dumb move, IMO. Pennington doesn't make them good enough to contend and they have a surplus of QBs as is.
