Default UFO's in Calgary?

First off I am not a nut! Yet I do like a good scifi movie.

Never the less this morning at 3am as I went outside of my home in Bowness to have a smoke, I saw something I can not explain.

As I was looking to the southern skies there before me was a large something floating in the sky all lit up. From my distance it looked to be about 1 1/2 inches long and a half inch high ( in the sky ). I know that sounds goofy, yet that is the size comparison I am using as 5 jet planes circled it. The jet planes were just dots in the sky in comparison. That did catch my attention.

The jets circled this object for 15 minutes and the 2 that got close to the object seemed to disappear. I am assuming they were jets ( not from winnipeg hehehe )!

I am just curious if any one else saw this in the skies last night?

I am not a raving lunatic, I did not get abducted, or anal probed. I am not saying this is an alien invasion either. Yet for 35 years of my life I have never seen something in the skies like this.

Well maybe once before, a falling star that seemed to turn and fly off in a different direction about 18 years ago. That was wierd too. Yet I just chalked that up to the angle I was at and the hills in Calgary it disappeared past. Cool thing to see, yet I chalk that up to the angle I was at and other science stuff.

Yet tonight in all honesty, it looked like a large something in the sky where other somethings ( 5 jets I am assuming ) circled and either landed on or were destroyed yet I saw no explosions.

Was I drinking when I saw this? Nope, I am drinking now though.

Maybe my cigarette was loaded with some sort of drug, but it was a real freaky thing to see. We all see planes in the sky every night, they appear as dots in the sky, but this thing was huge in comparison being circled by dots that I assume were aircraft. Not your passenger jets, passenger jets dont move like that. The dots surrounding this object moved as if they were f18's and such. I could here the distant thunder of jet engines.

Anyone have any idea's of what I saw last night?

Please, no sarcasm, I know this sounds goofy and all. I am not saying ET has come back or that we are being invaded.

Yet last night I did see an unidentified flying object ( ufo, I am not saying it is not from earth ).

The jets that were circling... Were they military jets? And how big was the thing? An inch and a half is not a good answer.

I've seen lights in the sky that I can't explain being made by conventional aircraft out at Banff. It was a single light, very high up, and it would hover, sprint ahead, hover again, do sudden reversals, zigzag, etc. I've never seen an aircraft that could move at the speed this light did, and do sudden stops, reversals and zigzags. It was definitely a UFO.

What's important to remember though is what the acronym UFO stands for ... Unidentified Flying Object. By that definition what I saw certainly fits the criteria. But that doesn't provide any quantifiable evidence about the birth planet of the pilot. It was an unidentifiable flying object, but there are many explanations aside from a license plate that's not from our solar system ... experimental aircraft, light anomalies, optical illusions, hoaxes, etc., etc. It's fun to think they're alien aircraft, but being a born skeptic, I want quantifiable evidence.

Ford Prefect, aren't you an alien? Either the that, or all the rest of us are.

(Sshhh ... I was trying to divert speculation away from aliens to throw everyone off my trail. Don't blow my cover.)

I saw a UFO outside my front yard about 3 in the afternoon about 10 years ago. Came over from nose hill and went across the sky. Silver cylander. No idea what it was.

the mind is a powerful thing
