Default Girl Burns Ex-Boyfriends Stuff

My girlfriend was telling me yesterday about this girl she works found her boyfriend of 2 months and her bestfriend kissing in the driveway, when she drove by the guy's house to see and surprise him. According to my girlfriend, on thursday night this furious girl took all of the ex-boyfriend's belongings that he'd left at her house, including a watch, some t-shirts, pants, and other miscellaneous items and threw them on the guy's lawn, poured gas over them and lit the objects on fire! Crazy right? She even told her dad previously what she was going to do, in case that she needed bail later that evening. Apparently the guy called the cops, but the girl cried her case and they let her go home. I thought it was a cause for discussion. Personally, I think she went a bit overboard, but that doesn't mean I like cheating. She's crazy and possibly could've set his place on fire in the process. Luckily for the guy, that didn't add to his grief.

meh, he shouldn't have messed around. can't have your cake and eat it too. starting a fire might be a bit much, especially after only 2 months, but you can't treat a gal like that, it's not cool.

If I was her, I would of took my anger out on the best friend. She had only been dating the guy for two months. The issue is with the "so called" best friend. Who does that?

Gotta be a false story, because cops aren't going to let something like that slide... unless of course the boyfriend didn't want to persue charges... hmmmmm. Dumb boyfriend in that case.

2 months? Who hasn't dated someone for two months and had it been completely not serious, and way not serious enough for it to be hard-coded exclusive? Then burning the guys stuff? Get over yourself.

I'm guessing this behavior is symptomatic of some traits that had the guy looking in other places already.

Personally, I find the whole "I found out you were cheating so I'm going to destroy your property" thing to be so immature and childish. That stupid Carrie Underwood song "Before He Cheats" seems to have given every woman who has been cheated on to destroy the man's favourite things as retribution.

I'm not condoning cheating as I think it is despicable but this girl has gone way over the top. They'd only been going out for two months and she's acting like she's a jilted wife. I really wish that every girl that does this kind of garbage would have charges pressed against them. Cheating isn't illegal but destruction of someone else's property most definitely is.

Unfortunately, it won't help the whole attitude of "actions without consequences for women" that so many women display.

I guess to me that would really be a civil matter. He left possesions with her, she destroyed them.

But yeah, total over re-action. Not like the guy left his wife and 2 kids.

To be honest when my wife of five years cheated on me and would not move out of our house not to mention the fact she only came there to sleep and would not even say hi to her son when she went to go to her mom's in Winipeg for a couple weeks I burnt all of her stuff in our backyard. The good news is she went from her mom's to Australia to meet some guy she found online and has been there ever since. My son and I are quite happy without her around. After two months though...that is crazy!

That is crazy behavior. Her response was a complete overreaction. She should be grateful she didn't waste more time with him and move on.

I know a chick that cried her way out of a DUI. In a way I was happy for her because she's my friend, but in another way I think it's pretty damn lame that this type of thing happens from time to time.

The chick in this case totally overreacted and should have been charged with mischief or something, and furthermore, I agree that the person she should be really ticked off with would be her so-called best friend. Obviously the dude is not really b/f material, so she should be a bit glad that she didn't discover it 5 years into marriage like diss, but if I were in her shoes, the one that I would be pretty angry with would be the friend.

I think the guy got off lucky.

Yeah, the wackjob burned his stuff, but he totally dodged dating a legitimate psycho.

That's quite an over-reaction for a 2 month relationship. A bit of a head case I'd say, but at the same time I have no tolerance for cheating.

Also I love that clip. American Psycho is an amazing movie.

Some best friend Maybe she should have burnt a few of her things as well.

It has been a while since I was on the dating scene so my question is how much stuff do you have at your girlfriends house after 2 months? I know that when I was dating it was not much, and not clothes. So as someone above said a shirt and pants and maybe a mix tape is a good sacrifice to find out that you were dating a psycho.

It could have been worse. She could have lit his crotch on fire.

And had his friends stomp on it to put the fire out.
