Problems installing Office 2008 for Mac

Every time I go through the installation for this stupid program and get to the product key screen, something weird happens. Instead of giving me an opportunity to enter in the product key MS provided me with in the box, a key is already written in...And I can't change it. WTF?

Any ideas why this would happen?

In case anyone's wondering...It was using a corporate key that I had on my computer previously. You have to delete some of the library files to reset the product key. I was pleasantly surprised with the MS product support.
