Jingle Bells.....Batman Smells.... Robin laid an egggggggg!!!!!!
The Batmobile lost a wheel and....(I forget the rest)

To me, Christmas carols just aren't the same unless they're horribly mangled and obscenely reworded. Call it a relic of elementary school.....

The Christmas Song (Chestnuts roasting on an open fire) sung by Sinatra, or the Bing man.

Beautiful, especially when sung acapella.

What Chid is This? for me - just a beautiful song.

I also like We 3 Kings.

Hmmmm - two rather religious tunes eh? Actually I'm not religious at all, just really like the melodies of these tunes.

My top five (I just went through programming three hours of Christmas music into my iPod, much to the chagrin of my girlfriend). But for me, the carols are more about the specific version (usually one I remember from my childhood), as opposed to the carol in general.

O Tannenbaum -- Vince Gueraldi version
Holly Jolly Christmas -- Burl Ives singing
Holly and the Ivy -- preferably instrumental version, George Winston has a nice version
Baby It's Cold Outside -- either the original by Bing & Doris Day, or the version from Elf, which is also excellent
What's This?--from the Nightmare Before Christmas. It really is fantastic and deserves to be played and performed far more than it currently is.

Runners up are the Chet Atkins version of Let it Snow and Chris Isaak's Blue Christmas.

It's not really a Christmas carol, but I also love the Nutcrucker Suite.

Here Comes Santa Claus as performed by Elvis Presley.

Guaranteed to transform me into a big Christmas dork.

Jingle Bells (Bart Simpson version):

"Jingle Bells, Batman Smells, Robin laid and egg....The Batmobile, lost its wheels, and the Joker got away, HEY!"

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, I just like the tune.

Other than that I kinda like the Christmas CD from Destiny's Child a couple years back.

I'm also a fan of What Child is This.

From a modern perspective, U2 singing Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) is fantastic.
