Morgan Freeman In Serious Condition After Car Crash
Morgan Freeman hospitalized after car wreck
Quote:
(CNN) -- Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman was in serious condition at a Memphis hospital after being involved in a car accident Sunday night, according to hospital officials.
|
Quote:
CNN affilliate WMC of Memphis reported that he was in a car accident in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, about 100 miles south of Memphis, late Sunday.
According to The Associated Press, Freeman was "lucid" when the rescue team found his car.
"They had to use the jaws of life to extract him from the vehicle," Clay McFerrin, editor of Sun Sentinel in Charleston, Mississippi, said. "He was lucid, conscious. He was talking, joking with some of the rescue workers at one point."
|
It sounds like he will be alright but you never know so I am going to wish him a speedy and uneventful recovery. Freeman is a great actor and I would hate to see him go before his time.

The word distinguished comes to mind when I think of Morgan Freeman. My favorite perfomance of his for me is in the Shawshank Redemption, I like the part when he applies for parole and his character basically says I'm an institutionalized old man...at this point in life being here is easier than being free and they grant him parole.
Hopefully he's able to make a quick recovery and resume his acting career.

This is what he gets for making 'Wanted.'
Jokes aside, I hope he gets better soon. One of the best in the business, and as soon as he learns to read scripts before accepting them (looking at you 'Wanted,' 'Bruce/Evan Almighty' and 'The Bucket List') he'll be back to being one of the best.

A Maxima huh? Thats probably what saved him. Isnt that the same car that a kid drove off a cliff in a suicide attempt in but the car saved his life?

Not really a cliff, just a steep hill. And I believe it was.

Hope he's going to be fine. Great actor, seems like a class act.

Maybe a rental? I would think he would normally drive around in something a little more expensive than that....

What rental agency lets out 11 year old cars to anyone let alone Morgan Freeman?
Its probably his, yeah he can probably afford better but he probably likes it and its damned near indestructible.
Then again, maybe he cant afford it, he has been taking on some really crap jobs lately.
Thank God he'll live on to take on more crap jobs. The guy is amazing.
His voice is very sensual.....

Not to go off-topic, but what was so bad about Wanted?
For the guys, Angelina Jolie: check
For the girls, James McAvoy: check
For the movie snobs, Morgan Freeman: check
Entertaining action sequences: check
You weren't supposed to think during this movie, just to let you know...

For the guys, Angelina Jolie: check - Except that Shes a crazy chick.
For the girls, James McAvoy: check - Okay sure, whatever.
For the movie snobs, Morgan Freeman: check - He shouldnt have been in it.
Entertaining action sequences: check - Agreed.
I think my problem stemmed from curving bullets. I tried to suspend disbelief for that but it didnt work.
I think I need at least a semi-plausible premise in films like that.
