I thought there was a noise bylaw that prevented any of the bigger acts from playing McMahon? F them, let's riot.

Monsters Of Rock just isn't Monsters Of Rock without Metallica and Pantera in Russia...but not a bad lineup.

I'm not sure if they've had an album since, but 1997s Jugulator was actually a really good album. Actually, I think Rob Halford had been back at the helm fairly recently. I wish this tour was coming to Edmonton.

Didn't they stop the outdoor concerts because of Lilith Fair?

At least the neighbours won't be mad about this...

Of course, I have something else planned for this day and can't go. I actually saw Testament open up for Priest 18 years ago. Geez, I'm getting old.

Testament and Judas Priest are who I'm really excited to see on the bill. Always liked VoiVod though. Add the fact that it's an outdoor show on a Saturday in July, doesn't get any better.

Tickets on sale this Friday, Apr 18th at 12PM.

VoiVod opened for Ozzy a few years ago here and were BRUTAL. Mind you, that entire show sucked balls.

The whole 'no concerts @ McMahon' thing is pretty much an urban legend. Edmonton and Calgary have pretty much the same noise bylaw, but if you had to choose one place to do a stadium show, would you pick the 60K stadium that has gone out and solicited promoters, or the 35K one that hasn't?
The main reason that this concert is happening is because it starts @ noon. I wouldn't be surprised if it was over by 10PM.

So with the show being this Saturday, who from CP is going?

They've released the set times for the bands:

Zimmers Hole – 12:35 PM
Priestess – 1:10 PM
3 Inches of Blood – 1:45 PM
Testament – 2:25 PM
Voivod – 3:05 PM
Shadows Fall – 3:45 PM
Cavalera Conspiracy – 4:30 PM
Hatebreed – 5:20 PM
Serj Tankian – 6:10 PM
Judas Priest – 7:20 PM
Ozzy Osbourne – 8:40 PM

Dillinger Escape Plan had to drop off the tour because they couldn't get a plane out of Toronto, where they were playing on Friday. Damn, I can't wait for Saturday.
