Cubs call up Jeff Samardzija

For college football fans and/or Notre Dame fans. Former Irish WR Jeff Samardzija has been called up by the Cubs. I'm rather interested to see where his baseball career takes him since he most likely would've been a late first or early second round pick in the NFL.

the guy is a great natural athlete. very curious to see how he does at the big league level.

It's sort of funny how that pic they have of Jeff in that article makes his throwing action look very similar to my mom's.

The guy's the all-time TD receptions leader in Irish history, I still can't believe he passed up a shot at the NFL to play baseball. You're right, he would've been a 2nd round pick at the very least.
