Default Good news Gorilla fans

an estimated 125,000 Western lowland gorillas have been found living in a swamp in equatorial Africa. This about doubles what was though to be the worldwide population of this Gorilla.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/africa...las/index.html

The news is of course not all good, as other gorilla species still face extreme threats of extinction.

Was just coming here to post that. Wonder how long it takes for hunters to start picking them off... seems like they're already in the area. Wonder if they were gorilla hunters or what... I'm assuming since they're considered "critically endangered" there has to be some rules against arbitrarily shooting them.

Give the Gorillas guns and let the situation work itself out?

As a child, I thought Guerillas were Gorillas. I thought the jungles were full of gun-toting apes.
