Man I wish I could be that lucky, the most I've ever won was three free coffees in a row from Timmies. Anyone here ever won a cool trip or something from a contest like this?

Not bad. Back in the day I won a radio-sponsored trip up to Edmonton for a Battle of Alberta game. We were driven up on the "Molson Canadian Battle Bus"...apply named as they handed out free beer on the way to the game, which inexplicably lead to the some of our fellow riders taking part in a drunken stabbing incident with opposing fans.

Luckily enough, I won the same trip next year as well. For some reason this time most of the people seemed to be "family types" though.

I won the grand prize, a $100 gift certificate to Zellers in their annual Balloon drop. I had to endure some viscious elbows from elderly ladies to get it. They no longer have these balloon drops in my area, because too many people got hurt.

2 years ago I competed on Ice during intermission at the Saddle Dome and wone an expense paid trip to Vancouver to watch the Flames play. We had 9th Row seats in GM place. It was the game where Iggy pounded Willy Mitchell.

I won the $500 dollars for best sign at the Saddledome during the playoffs this year for Game 6. That's the only thing I've ever won in a contest.

I won a trip to Rome two Novembers ago. It's too bad that Rome is one of my most disliked cities in the world. But can't complain about the price! Oh and the spending money. And to cancel that the free side-trip to Florence was grand. I absolutely loved going there a second time.

Edit: Oh and back in Grade 9, I won $10,000 in cash and prizes off a TV call-in game show on YTV called Destructo Brothers Loot.

Edit: Oh yah and a bike at the Shriners Circus when I was even younger, and another bike from Toon-IN on RDTV.

I had a week of pure luck and since then hardly any. First year university I won a keg mini fridge from a pub that I had to drunkenly carry back to my dorm that night, 2 days later I won a DVD player from a hockey raffle, and then I also won like 90 bucks in the 50/50.. All in a week, and since then I win pretty much nothing

My biggest wins have been $500 in the mall on those pull back tab tickets. I've also won $500 at the casino a few times on the slots.

Ahhh, pull tab tickets!

A couple years ago at the stampede we were in the Roudup Center and they had the pull tab tickets on sale. I had 1 loonie in my pocket so I bought one ticket. I pulled the tabs and saw three cowboys and said "Hey I think I won something". Then I showed the lady and she said "Yeah, you won $150"

That was a nice supprise.
I bought cordogs for my friends after that.
Just kinda funny cause only bought the thing because I happened to have a loonie.

Hey I still went! The 4-star hotel was certainly posh

Much better than the first time around when I backpacked through there. Oh and no one tried to pick my pocket the second time around, so that was nice heh. But it was still the foul-smelling graffiti-laden city I remembered from before!

Well i apparently won 12k, from playing a game and entering a contest online(might have been one of the CP ads). Haven't got the cheque yet so i am still boardline skeptical. We shall see.

All my winnings comes from poor saps at the poker table... unless ive been drinking... then i'm a calling station and generally don't fare so well. It's why I don't drink and poker at the same time.
