Montreal US Consulate/Embassy - Immigration Process

Hello All,

So it looks like I just got booked for an immigration interview with the US Consulate in Montreal.

Has anyone been through this process before? Any tips that would make this whole process less painful? My wife is a US citizen so I filed for my greencard a year ago. I have submitted all that they have asked for so I am hoping there won't be any issues.

Also, for anyone that has been out to the consulate, are there any hotels near by at a reasonable price?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am a us citizen and my wife filed her permanent residency card about a year ago.... She was living in the Us at the time and working on a student visa. I think its a longer process if your not actually inside the US.. but either way its a long drawn out stressful thing. Just make sure your honest with every question that they ask you at the interview and you should not have a problem. If you get a rude person , dont get in a showdown with him because he will win. He can deny you just based on what he feels. Just act calm and reasonable and like i said be honest and you should be fine.
