Full time position available to run various in house machining equipment with a main focus on a new, HAAS CNC lathe. We offer flexible work hours, optional overtime, top benefits package and a clean, quiet, safe work environment.
Duties:
· Use machine tools to shape metal and various materials to precise dimensions
· Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts & tables, reporting to senior engineering personnel
· Plan and set up the correct sequence of machine operations in accordance with blueprints and other documents
· Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
· Verify dimensions of products and machined parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications
· Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
· Assist to generate the routing sequence and calculate standard build time information for proper build flow and estimation on new product
· Identify and make recommendations for production flow improvements
· Assist to develop key point indicators that will ensure a continued effort towards improvements of product, quality and flow
Requirements:
· Journeyman certification or 5-15 years of related experience
· Computer literacy with CAD/CAM skills and ability to use Solid Works is an asset
· Adequate communication and interpersonal
