Arbitartor's decision re. NBA suspensions

O'Neil's got cut by half but the rest were upheld including the full season for Ron Artest. I figured that they would cut his down by at least 10 games if not more so I'm happy to see that's not the case.

Good judgement all-around. It looked to me like O'Neil was really just trying to break things up and pull his teammate out of the fight, it's just that he went into the stands to do so. No reason to punish this guy further. It's Artest that deserves to be nailed, and it's great to see that one upheld.

Except for when Oneil charged across the floor and clocked that fat dude.

I think that Artest should not be suspended for the season but a good portion of it. When Vernon Maxwell went into the stands he only got ten games. That was too light of a punishment but Artests is too severe.
