I eat a lot of rice (girlfriend is Pakistani), but, man. 50 percent! Ridiculous. It pays to look at the ingredients, for sure. You think you're buying some cheddar cheese, but in reality you're buying some cheese along with 25 oher things. I read in a book awhile back that, really, you should look for foods at the store that have 5 or less ingredients on the wrapper (more often than not)- more than that, and you're taking in all sorts of weird ass stuff.
It was that book on the Daily Show... Forget the name, but it's good.
