out of your foursome, you take the two best Net totals of your group. Net score is your gross score, minus the number of strokes you get on a given hole. So if your handicap is 5, you get a "stroke" on the 5 hardest holes on the golfcourse. If you are a 23, you get two strokes on the 5 hardest holes and one on every other hole.
