Default Converting Itunes Music

Help! I bought a couple of songs on itunes. I need to burn them to a cd. I notice that they are m4p files. Will these play on most cd players? If not, how do i convert them so they will?
Thanks!

I believe that Itunes has a program itself that will burn music to a cd. If you create a playlist with the song you want to burn to CD, you then open the playlist and click in the bottom right corner the 'burn cd' button and it should magically convert them for you...It worked that way for me yesterday.

That should do the trick, just make sure that it is set to burn an audio CD (rather than a data one).

You only get a limited number of burns per song, so be careful...

Once you have burned the song to a CD, however, it's completely unprotected. You can then re-rip it and do whatever you like with the resulting .m4a or .mp3 file.

However, this does entail a certain loss of quality, which is not the best feature of .m4p files to begin with. This is why I've never downloaded anything from the iTunes Music Store, apart from a couple of songs that were offered free for promotional purposes.
