Exclamation Sex Offender wins $57 Million Dollar Lottery

http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline...ex-offend.html

Yet another sex offender has won the lottery. Back in February, we told you that Daniel Snay, a Level 3 sex offender, won $10 million in the Massachusetts State Lottery.

The latest lucky registrant comes to us from Michigan, where Fred Topous, 45, won $57 million by playing the state's Mega Millions game.
"We thought we were going to end up working until we died, but not any more," Topous said, according to The Grand Rapids Press. "Now, I don't have to wait until Friday to get groceries or put gas in the truck."

In 1999, Topous was charged with having sex with a 13-year-old girl. He later agreed to a plea deal that sent him to prison for more than five years. (Here's his page from the state police website.)

"We're always happy to make someone a millionaire and we wish Mr. Topous and his family all the best," Lottery Commissioner M. Scott Bowen says in a press release. (The release doesn't mention the winner's criminal history.)

Meh. He's served his time, no big deal that he won.

Just another sign that Karma is a crock.

I'd better start offending others sexually.

This proves undeniably that there is no God, and karma does not exist.

He had sex with a girl who was 13 when he was 37... there is no amount of time that he could serve that could make up for the damage and pain that he has inflicted. I hope he gets sued by the victims family and is once again left with nothing in the world.

When God set up his own country(Israel} He said: "Kill the pervert".

This is a result of our own legal system. Why should God be blamed for the actons of men who refuse to even acknowledge Him?

A man slept with that little girl. Another man(or women) gave him a slap on the wrist for his crime.

My bad. Was meant to mock the people that would blame God or point to the absence of God in this situation. I'm not remotely religious but it always amuses me when people use these types of situations to decry God.

Sued for what? Winning the lottery? All that would show is that the family is greedy.

I'm certainly not defending this loser's actions, but lets be honest. These "rapist wins millions" stories are designed to cause reactions. The law says he's done his time, so why is this news?

It gives the masses a target on which to vent their disgust, while keeping the social order unaffected. Those in power are happy, the great unwashed are happy - this is the kind of story newspapers love, as nobody is offended other than the lowlife in question.

Yes, news should just create no interest
