Wow this is cool. I just stumbled upon this video, I know nothing about the tech, but it seems really cool. Anyone know anything about it? Does it really work like they say? How far from the real world is it?

So yeah this is so 2 months ago. Although technically, the product reviewed measures electrical impulses and not really brainwaves.

This however seems to have a bit more oomph behind it for directly reading brainwaves however they say late 2008 for product release.

so wouldn't this product be the ultimate next step for artificial limbs? they've already shown robotic arms shaped like human arms being controlled by thought, so couldn't they slap one of those on someone so they could get a Star Wars type robotic hand?

it's kind of scary to think that this is just the start of brainwave technology though. imagine where we'll be in 20 years down the road. will computers even have mice or keyboards? mind boggling stuff
