Does anyone know of any places to stay in Kananasis that are *CLOSE* to the Delta Lodge other than the lodge. Any B&Bs, hostels, etc.? A B&B would be great, if there are any.
There is a hostel at Ribbon Creek, just before you go up the hill to the village. There is also Sundance Lodges, on highway 40, they have Teepee's set up to stay in, pretty cool. Other than that, there is only the camp ground by the golf course. No b&b's in k-country!
My cousin was married there last summer so we thought we would drive out the day of the wedding, checking and get ready in the Hotel.
Smoking hot day on the way out so I wasn't so fresh when we got there.
Get there about 2:00 ready to check in but Check in time wasn't till 4:00 pm.
Guess when the service was.....4:00 pm.
Yes I know its listed on the website blah blah blah..... even after I asked to be let in early so I could shower and change( even if the room wasn't made up yet) they wouldn't let us.
The rooms had no AC and the loft portion of the room we had was about 200 Deg....
Other than seeing a lot of my family for the first time in years and or course my cousins wedding, the experience was not enjoyable.

Ribbon! thank you. I don't know where I got Rainbow Falls from.
Going for a golf trip out there this July, but since the hotel options are a monopoly out there right now we opted to stay and party in Canmore after the golfing.
