New Xbox Experience. What do you think?
So I downloaded the New Xbox Experience last night and my first thoughts were "Did Nintendo buy Microsoft?".
Personally I hate the new look (especially the avatars) and even more so the functionality of this new interface. I am a firm believer in the saying "if it's not broken, don't fix it". I do appreciate Microsoft trying change it up a bit but I think they have changed the whole xbox brand on this. The Wii already exists, why do we need another juvenile looking interface?
These are obviously just my thoughts. What do you think?

I don't have a 360 anymore, but one thing I really liked about it was the blades. To be honest I haven't seen the new look a whole lot just yet so I won't comment on it.

Not the one...

Seems dumb now. Will be cool if the actually add cool stuff, like getting rid of cable and buying tv shows over Xbox or something.

I think it's just because I'm used to the old one but I found the blades easier to navigate...there seems to be a lot of boxes in the menus now. I ended up watching a guy and girl talk about some game and I don't even remember how or why. I like the avatars though.

That's a post holer. You dig holes. For posts.
I like it - it will take a while to get used to because I really liked the blades but if the Netflix rumor is true about it coming to Canada, it will be worth it.
Reminds me alot of the WMC interface.

The avatars are a little kiddy, but I think it's just progression of online gaming and interaction. They could have made more a distinction between them and Miis, less cartoony.
I’m still getting used to the interface, but I kind of like it. Blades were fine, but it was getting stale. I think once we get used to the navigation, it will be just as easy as the blades we were used to.
I like the new friends screen with the avatars and how everyone is hanging out together when there is a party chat. The themes are better now, you can actually see them and read text at the same time.
Overall, I’m happy with the new upgrade. I thought it was a great touch when I first logged in and they automatically moved me over to the new version of my Gears of War theme.

I like the new interface, I think overall it's an improvement. And if the NetFlix rumor is true, then it's that much sweeter.
One big improvement is the party chat - being able to chat with more than 1 person at a time. This will be especially helpful in NHL 09, now you can chat with your EASHL team and not have to worry about the chatting bugs within the game (ie - one person not being able to hear the rest of the team).

so far so good for me as well. the avatars are kiddie but fun to mess around with. and I like the navigation so much better, its pretty easy to get around I think but that's just me.
Party chat is awesome, I can see it working great when you log on and your eashl team is playing, you can just go in the party room to see what period and what not to get in on the next game, rather than message them which takes so long to read and mid game your don't want to be reading messages and responding.
I would almost go as far as saying we should use the party mode whenever playing eashl so that people can come in and see where we are at in the game (if you have a mic obviously)

Yes agreed! Its the best feature and I also like it how anyone can join in even if your playing online and start chatting. The avatars look like they were stolen from Nintendo.

I like the new look, and I'm liking it more than the old dashboard.

i like it personally as well. The part chat is also great, and for those that like the blades, when you press the xbox button, you get mini blades.

I think it is great! I hate M$ stealing the Mii idea, and doing Avatars, but I like the new in-game dashboard (hitting the middle X button), there are a lot more options, and it is easier to navigate.
