The bad teams pull off the win! Pretty close vote in the end though. I admit my choice...100% pure selfishness. Gives me an understanding of why a GM at a GM's meeting might vote against something that seems perfectly logical.

Yeah I rather thought a vote would be somewhat useless as likely everyone votes for what helps them most.

Reality is bad teams need as much help as they can get.

Well I don't mind Drew getting the first pick in the second round at all just because of what occurred yesterday. He lost a much better guy than he'd get with the 31 pick in this draft just out of bad fortune. I would have been cool with a snake draft, with that exception. Did anyone have Mickey Renaud as a pick last year, I can't remember? That sucked too, but Renaud wasn't as far along as a player as Bourdon was, chance is he hadn't been traded for anything of much value yet. Bourdon had been at least a couple of times.

Yup. Bourdon was going to be a real good player in this league. There was a report yesterday where TB and Vancouver had worked out a deal for Brad Richards at the deadline but Vancouver rejected because TB asked for Bourdon in the package. They said they'd accept if Bourdon would have been replaced for another prospect.

Yeah good point I hadn't thought off.

I believe KG held the rights of Renaud which made in the 2nd time he lost a player due to unexpected death (Sergei Zholtok being the other)
