Atlanta/Nashville make a 4 player deal

D - Adrian Aucoin

We feel this is a pretty fair deal and really wanted to get rid of Hatcher's contract. We took on some big contracts as well but feel Parrish/Aucoin can both help us this year.

Neil knows what I think of this deal. Getting rid of Hatcher is a huuuuuge plus for his organization as it looks to contend again next year. Glencross is only good when he plays calgary so he should get about 10-15 goals next season.

The big thing is that while neil gets big salaries back, he can actually waive aucoin if need be but because of his ratings boost i dont think it is too bad to have both parrish and aucoin on his cphl squad.

From the Nashville point of view we saved almost $1.5 million and get a still useful defenceman in Hatcher. Yes, his contract is ugly, but the contracts leaving were less than beautiful as well!

We also pick up Curtis Glencross, who we like the look of this season and think that he has some reasonable upside.

We lose in the forward ranks, add in the defensive corps and save a few bucks. Thanks Neil for the rather smooth talks to make this deal!

Yeah, I think it's more beneficial for Atlanta too. They get rid of one big, big contract for a guy who'll likely rate around 75 OV could be a bit higher I guess. In place they get two guys who will likely rate at least 75 OV each. They do lose Glencross, but there will be 70-73 OV guys to be had in free agency for similar prices to what he currently makes. Getting rid of Derian Hatcher...hard to do unless you want to pay his salary.
