I'm curious how fast the ideal sprinter, all juiced up on the ultimate steroid cocktail, running at altitude with the strongest legal wind as his back can acheive.
sub-9 seconds?

I've wondered what Donovan Bailey's time might have been if he had gotten out to a better start when he set the record of 9.84.
He was near the back of the pack at the 40 m mark when he started making his surge. What would have happened if he got the perfect jump right off the gun?

or ben johnson's 9.79 if he wouldn't have let up in the last 10 metres.

Would it have mattered, I think everyone knew that the guy was a creation of better living through chemistry as soon as he took his sunglasses off.
He's going to have some serious liver problems someday.
Dononvan Bailey was an amazing sprinter, but his starts were never great, he was just incredible through the middle of his races.

I've always said that there should be two summer Olympics, one for clean athletes with high levels of testing and no forgiveness on first offenses.
The second one allows drug and steroid use, blood doping, genetic enhancements, augmented surgery the whole freak show. There will be no testing, and you sign a waiver that if you die due to your abuses, tough titty said the kitty.
Imagine a swimmer with a blow hole and flipper like feet. Or a boxer with his brain strategically relocated to a hidden part of his body. Or a javelin thrower with a titanium spring loaded arm. Or a Super Steroid jacked up sprinter with steel based coiled quads.
It would be a true event driven by science. It would be awesome.

There's an SNL skit they did about an All Steroid event. I'm at work so I can't find it, I'll check later.

That skit was massive!! There's a part where a jacked up dude is about to lift weights, as he is bending down to pick it up, his arms rip off and he is screaming while blood is gushin everywhere......AWESOME!!!

Yeah, thats the one I'm thinking of. It was a Weekend Update segment, and Phil Hartman was the lifter.

Dennis Miller: In response to what its sponsors claim is an idea whose time has come, the first All-Drug Olympics opened today in Bogota, Columbia. Athletes are allowed to take any substance whatsoever before, after, and even during the competition. So far, 115 world records have been shattered! We go now to correspondent Kevin Nealon, live in Bogota for the Weightlifting Finals. Kevin?
Kevin Nealon: Dennis, getting ready to lift now is Sergei Akmudov of the Soviet Union. His trainer has told me that he's taken antibolic steroids, Novacaine, Nyquil, Darvon, and some sort of fish paralyzer. Also, I believe he's had a few cocktails within the last hour or so. All of this is, of course, perfectly legal at the All-Drug Olympics, in fact it's encouraged. Akmudov is getting set now, he's going for a cleaning jerk of over 1500 pounds, which would triple the existing world record. That's an awful lot of weight, Dennis, and here he goes.
[ Kevin steps aside to reveal the steroid-bulked athlete bent over to lift the 1500 lbs. weight. Sergei tightens his grip on the barbells and pulls up, but instead of lifting the weights, his arms are pulled off and blood squirts ferociously out of his pulpy stubs.
Kevin Nealon: Oh! He pulled his arms off! He's pulled his arms off, that's gotta be disappointing to the big Russian! [ Sergei's trainer wraps a towel around him ] You know, you hate to see something like this happen, Dennis! He probably doesn't have that much pain right now, but I think tomorrow he's really gonna feel that, Dennis! Back to you!
Dennis Miller: Thank you, Kevin. Very nice form on the Russian. Canada, of course, is leading that competition.
