Wow that is some line-up. Always wanted to hit one of these festivals - this one or Coachella at least.

My summer concert trip is Radiohead in Toronto, just waiting on the band to get off their asses and release some dates.

A lot of the Roo regulars are upset about Metallica and Kanye West but I'm not too concerned about them. I'm not big into either of them but there's plenty of other bands to see.

Interesting to note that Calgary is going to be quite the festival scene this summer. We've got Folk Fest, Sled Island, Stampede (yeah I know it's not great), and the Virgin Music Fest.

Yes I am very curious to see what acts will come for Sled Island this year - last year was ace especially for a first-time fest. Ditto for Virgin Festival, should be interesting.

I'd love to see Metallica.

Great line up, way better than Coachella this year. Not sure whats up with Coachella this year, weak headliners IMO, Roger Waters is good and all, but can we move on from Pink Floyd already? Jack Johnson, no thanks, and Portishead...pass. Bonnaroo on the other hand is great, Pearl Jam, Willie Nelson, Kanye, Lupe Fiasco, B.B. King.

I'm not one to go to music festivals for comedy but Chris Rock has now been added to the lineup. That's a must see for me.

I will be there. A group of 6 or 7 of us will be making the long drive down for our first Bonnaroo- am already excited. Was actually going to start a thread after the tickets went on sale on Saturday (and we nab ours!).

Anyone been before? I have scouring lots of sites for info about the festival, and getting lots of good tips, but still good to hear from somebody who's experienced one of these things first hand.

Also- anyone know how fast the tickets are going to sell out? IE/ could I wait till I get home on Saturday night and buy them myself or should i continue to bank on having someone else purchase them online for me right at noon?

Nice! We should maybe try for a CP meet up down there. I'm staying in the VIP section (also buying my tickets on Saturday). I don't know if you're aware of Inforoo, but it's a good site for tips.

I am so pumped for this thing. Especially the live comedy. Was just introduced to Zach Galifianakis' stuff recently and I am a big fan. Should be an epic 4 days.
