some pics of the flooding we are having here in NB
As you may have heard we have been having some major flooding here in NB along the St John River. This a a link with slide show of some shots from the area.
Our family has a summer camp along the river. Here are a few shots that i took over the weekend just before the high of the water.. It went about a foot higher before it started to receed. Fortunatly is is just our summer place and not our home like a lot of people.
The front deck is about 7 or 8 feet off of the beach normally in the summer
It will be a mess to clean up for sure.. but at least it is our camp and not our house like a lot of people... As long as it settles back on the cribbing properly when the water finally goes down it should be ok.. the worst part is the we are usually in for the long weekend and that for sure isn't going to happen this year.. we will be lucky for the first of June.
