i think there is excess caution being expressed here. if the lenses are still in the original sealed packet they should still be sterile. When you open the packet, the solution should still be clear. If a microbe were to contaminate the lense packet, it would grow and make the solution cloudy. So you can judge for yourself. If you want to be extra cautious, wash the lenses before using them. The peroxide based cleaners will kill anything that potentially (unlikely) contaminated the package
