All the most famous Nintendo characters (and some less famous) get together and beat the crap out of each other on Nintendo themed stages.
Basically a fighting game with Nintendo characters, but it has a MASSIVE amount of content and loads of fan service. It's easy for anyone to pick up and play but has tons of depth for people who want to master it.
It's my personal favorite series, so I HIGHLY reccomend it.

Just played it. It kicks ass. It's like SSBM, but it adds a lot of little features that add to the game (like replays). Soooo many trophies to collect. Time to get back to it =D

I was trying to figure out what the huge lineup was in Best Buy earlier, and someone told me it was for this game. They had a Wii bundle with the console, Smash Brothers, WiiPlay, a second nunchuk, and some warranty for $469.99.

I have to say.... I really like what they did this time around with the Adventure mode. It created an interesting story line and mode that makes the single player mode enjoyable (since the last few Smash Brothers were only multi-player games since the single player mode was very boring).

As trying to get away from plugging in a GameCube controller, I think the 2nd best way to play the game is to use a classic controller.
I just though the Wii Remote (sideways) style and remote & nunchuck style aren't very good for this game (I get owned if I try either of those).

Played it last night for the first time, what a great game... make it a drinking game and it's even better.
I like using the Gamecube controllers better, though, for the Wii regarding this game. Much easier to master.
Funny, I remember the 1st Smash Bros coming out for N64 waaaay back when I was in Grade 10. Now I'm 24 (just about 25) and this series STILL never gets old. I love it.

First time playing it yesturday and I suck!! Controls are going to take some getting used to. At first I tried with the nun-chuk and that was painful but switching to the classic made things easier.
Really great graphics though and the gameplay is great.

I had a Smash party yesterday that started out with 10 of us taking turns playing vs. and ended with with two of us playing adventure mode. This game is bloody awesome!
