Like i originally thought many witnesses said that Gale confronted Dimebag on stage and aquised him of the break up of pantera.
A few reports have said that Gale wanted to sue the brothers for stealing his lyrics to many of panteras songs. Gales "friends" said that he once asked their band if he can sing a couple of his songs, when asked to see his lyrics his friends said that they cant use these, there pantera lyrics.
Just some other strange news, when phil anselmo was interviewed a few weeks ago he had some very harsh words for his former bandmate. He was qouted in saying that Dime desearved to be severly beaten for his verbal abuse to Phil and he is the reason why phil left the band.

I read somewhere that he's devestated about it. I've also read that Dimebag's death has caused Dave Mustaine to want and patch up the grudges he holds against Slayer and Metallica. Whether he holds true to his words we'll see.

Dave Mustaine is an idiot.
Here is his comment from Rolling Stone
Dave Mustaine of Megadeth
I knew him by wanting to play with him. We had Pantera open for Megadeth in the U.S. and in Europe. When you get to the level of guitar playing that I'm at and that he was at, the air is pretty thin up there . . . Darrell was a really gentle spirit and pretty easygoing guy. Society is looking at this and saying, "This is heavy metal." That's not heavy metal, that's a random act.
Rolling Stone
He's so arrogant, someone died and he has to comment about his own level of guitar playing.

Everyone is saying the guy was up there with Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen. Is this just "he's gone and everyone is saying nice things about him" or is that true?
Oh yeah and Dave Mustaine is an idiot.

its true teh guy was a genius up there with van halen etc. He idolozied Ace Frehley and Van Halen as he grew up. If you listen to his solos and some of his riffs they are amazing. At least in my books he is highly regarded.

Mustaine is laughable these days. It would be nice however, to see him follow through and stop slamming everything Metallica does. I think he's jealous.
Edit- And I am sure Anselmo IS devastated. He, in my opinion, is the real reason Pantera broke up. I don't have much respect for him whatsoever.

Anselmo was a heroine addict, he was a bit messed up to say the least. Definitely i feel the reason the band broke up. But without him the band sucked (damageplan vocalist laichman was not the same) Anselmo was indeed devasted from what a read...

As much as I don't like Anselmo the person, Pantera was great with him. They were my first ever concert. I will never forget it.

How long was Mustaine in Metallica? 1 record? You'd think after 20 years he'd be able to let go of his jealousy.

Mustaine is an idiot period. The guy says teh dumbest things and he was like a druggy/alcoholic thats why tehy kicked him out. He really isn't that great of guitarist, not like kirk hammet from metallica or dimebag, yet he thinks he is up there with hendrix, rhodes et al.

Mustaine was kicked out just before they recorded Kill Em All so all though he has credit for four songs he made no records with them. I do realize why he would be p*ssed off when it happened seeing that they dragged him all the way across the US only to fire him right away without warning him to shape up but it's not like Megadeth never went anywhere. And also who knows what would have happened to Metallica had he stuck around. Hammett and Burton balanced the band as far as controlling egos go so if Mustaine would have stuck around him and Hetfield and Lars would have butted heads alot and probably would have broke up the band.

Why is Mustaine arrogant? By saying he wanted to play with the guy? I'd say that's a pretty fine complement. Dave is a decent guitar player, he's put out some great albums (yeah, the last few not so much, but you could say that about Metallica as well)
I'm still shocked and saddened by what happened to Darrell. Had Pantera playing all weekend long. Music has lost a great one for sure.......

I don't wanna turn this into a "he's arrogant - no he's not" kind of a thing but he felt the need to toot his own horn while commenting on a murdered friend. That's kinda cheesy.
I was once a fan of Megadeth but I haven't heard anything by them in years. I didn't even know they were still putting out albums.
