Any self respecting student would already be drunk at this time of day.
I miss bsd and Uncle Jemima's syrup at the engineering breakfast.

This is the one day of the year that I miss being a U of C undergrad.
There was no BSD where I wasn't at very least half-cut by this time of the day and smashed by 1pm. They were all fun days with at least one memorable story.

Nice, I helped run that breakfast for 3 years. Ah the joys of living in res and setting your alarm to get up and drink.

How I miss the sound of beer bongs in the trad bathroom at 6 am! This was always my favorite time of year, except I didn't attend my last BSD last year. I had a final the next day. Boo-urns!

I was invited to go, but seeing as how I'm two years out of my undergrad and working full-time, I feel too old to go anymore.
It just doesn't have the same effect as it did when I was 18-20.

All I ask for those attending next year, as I'm sure those attending this year are totally sloshed, please do not come to class if you're drunk.
Couple years ago, or maybe a few, I had a 10 am class in one of the big ST lecture halls and some poor drunk SOB pretty much fell down the stairs. So...if you feel tipsy, best to stay out of lecture. No point in coming anyhow, you're not going to retain any of that information and you're wasting valuable bong time, you could be getting high and drunk.

I came into lecture drunk in my last year because I pretty much had to. It was an exam review where we also got our assignments back. I used my drunken superpower of feigning sobriety, and left when I got what I needed to get. If you can't keep composure/balance, then stay out of lecture.

That's pretty much what I'm saying. Watching him go down the stairs was the most awkward and painful thing I've ever seen.

BSD has always been a blast, with the caveat that is has to be outdoors.
When BSD gets moved indoors you can let the suckage begin. My very first BSD in my first year at U of C it was 25 degrees outside and you partied all day and its great.
The second it goes indoors to the new ball room it sucks. Its something about being able to wander around campus hammered with a bunch of friends/strangers and causing mischief.
Alas, in the working world, Beerios for Breakfast is simply unacceptable.

I helped out for years as well....Uncle Jemima's was quality stuff. Engg was always a good place to hang out and drink on BSD. Security was actually pretty reasonable with us most of the time.

In 1985, the Engineers were firing water balloons across the campus with a catapult atop the Engineering building. That was the last time.
